Connecticut Increases Minimum Wage to Highest For Any State

On March 27, 2014, Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy signed into law Senate Bill 32 which will phase in the highest minimum wage of any state for Connecticut workers.

Under the new law, Connecticut's current minimum wage, ($8.70 per hour), will increase to $9.15 by January 1, 2015, $9.60 by January 1, 2016 and $10.10 by January 1, 2017.

The new law becomes effective July 1, 2014.
